A full-scale gut renovation and restoration of a classic 1910 Edwardian home in Riverdale. The challenge was opening the narrow, cellular floor plan to accommodate modern living while honoring the home’s heritage details.
The Restoration
We reinforced the original timber joists, added structural steel lintels, and designed a modern steel-framed rear addition. Original fireplace surrounds were restored, and custom-run baseboards were matched to the century-old originals.
